ABSTRACT

This thesis analyzes Einstein, Podolsky, and Rosen paradox (EPR). First chapter discusses the notion of classical laws, quantum phenomena such as, Blackbody radiation, photoelectric effect, nature of quantum world, and measurement of spin. In second chapter, EPR paradox, Bohr’s replies to EPR arguments are discussed. Third chapter deals with, quantum correlations, classical correlations, hidden variables, and Bell’s inequality. In chapter four, most significant Alain Aspect experiment is discussed as experimental evidence of quantum correlations. The thesis concludes with possible explanations of the experimental results.
